Ashworth Valley Camp Site

Description:

Ashworth Valley Scout Camp website is the most up to date source of information, for people wishing to visit.

We consider it our gateway to the beginning of an experience, which finishes as you pack your kit for home.

We also cater for "Family Camping" on the site, subject to a strict 3 clear days notice and site availability.

Unfortunately we do not allow dogs to accompany family camping.

Ashworth Valley Scout Campsite has recently undergone a major redevelopment of its on-site activities.

Throughout 2002, work has been carried out on a new Adventure Playground for Beaver Scouts and an Assault Course for Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts. Both of these activities are free of charge.

We also supply Grass Sledging to our Beaver and Cub Scout visitors. For a hire charge of £2.50 per hour, these sledges provide an 'programme-filler' activity and are great fun too!

The most major development during 2002 was our adventurous activities. Funded by Heywood New Deal, Ashworth Valley Scout Campsite is now proud owners of a Climbing and Abseiling Tower, and Shooting and Archery Ranges.
