Mayo
Stretching from Lough Corrib in the south to Killala Bay in the north, Mayo boasts many attractions including stunning mountain scenery, megalithic tombs, excellent fishing waters, hill walking and great golf courses - including the championship course at Westport in west Mayo. The Achill Seafood Festival has established itself as one of Mayo's best festival weekends. The Festival, which is held in July, offers the best in delicious gourmet seafood, with plenty of ceol, music agus craic in the many traditional pubs in the evenings.
